School Disco

At school on friday we had a school disco because we got 1500 blessing beads so the house captains thought of having a school disco. After the disco we had to make a wevideo of the Disco I found it hard to get all of the videos and found it easy to get music because there is a lot of music on wevideo.

Art colouring book

In class for cybersmart we used Art colouring book to recreate art or pictures the ones i did was the Statue of liberty and the Taj mahal. I found it hard to get perfect colours and found it easy to colour in the Taj mahal because it is completely white.

Matter Book

In class for reading our learn create share was about matter and particles so with book creator we made a book about what matter and particles are. I found it hard to make it look good and to keep a theme and i found it easy to get facts because we watched a video about matter and particles.if you want to read my book click here.

Camp Letter

In class for writing we all had a slide and we would each choose a person that we wanted to thank for camp i chose denny. I found it hard to think of what to write at the end and found it easy to think of how to say thank you and why i wrote it to him.

I am writing to you today to thank you for letting me have the experience of a lifetime which is slingshot paintball and rock climbing. I don't think it would be as fun in camp without you, Because if you weren't there I don't think I would be able to climb the whole entire rock climbing wall.

The highlights for me was definitely rock climbing and that's because of you. You definitely gave me the courage to even want to climb that upside down kind of wall and i got pretty high for me. I don't even believe I climbed that upside down kind of wall.

so once again thank you for being one of the best instructors i've ever had especially at rock climbing . i don't think i would have had such a blast, and what an experience

In class for R.E. since it was all souls day on monday, we made flowers for someone that died that we want to remember so to remember them we put their name on a flower. We were learning to use shapes on google drawings but some people poly lined a flower and used that.

Service Value Challenge

In class for R.E. we made a service poster. The service poster that we made had to have a service bible quote service synonyms and a picture of what it looks like, feels like or sounds like. This one is the one that i made.

Mood Rings

In class for reading we  were reading on wonderopolis about how do mood rings work.
mood rings change colour by temperature, and scientists found out that by the mood that your in your body temperature changes. if you want to read more about it then click here. I found it easy to get the information because it was all in wonderopolis.

Chinese Language Week

In class since its chinese language week so we made a chinese language week slides where we translate a word in english that we want to know what it is in chinese then we translated it to chinese. I found it challenging to get some images.

CST, R.E.

In class for R.E. we were learning about CST so we made a CST slide. CST stands for Catholic Social Teaching we all had a focus of doing one of the 9 CST principles my one was DJ the Dolphin. I found it hard to make it look good and found it easy to get all of the CST principles because we had an information page.

In class we were learning about persuasive writing so we did speeches, my speech is about Why is football the best sport. I found it challenging to think of 3 reasons and found it easy to get the research since i play football next time i would add more emotive language.

Title Is football the best sport?

Introduction Is football the best sport? I strongly agree football is the best sport firstly it´s good for your mental and physical health, it's fun and challenging and it increases your flexibility, speed and skills.

Argument 1 My first reason is football helps your physical health, like when you pass the ball that's like leg stretching when you skill someone you have to do lots of movement or run after the ball you're running.

Argument 2 furthermore football is fun and challenging. When you score a goal your feel so relieved because the pressure comes off, when you receive the ball your like i can do this, i can do this and when you save a goal the pressure comes off then you would be like let's go, but if there is a team that is better than yours it makes it even funner but harder.

Argument 3 lastly football increases your flexibility, speed and skills. When you slide to try to reach the ball that increases your flexibility when you sprint after the ball as fast as you can you increase your speed and when you spectate someone you see how they do it and you get better at it.

In conclusion I just listed 3 reasons why football is the best sport and that's why I think more people should start playing football.

Sacraments of Initiation Rap

In class for R.E. we got split into groups of 3 and made a rap. we were learning about the sacraments of initiation and telling you about them in our raps that we made on wevideo. I found it easy to get the bit that says rap with me god because before we listened to a rap that was rap with me kids and found nothing hard.

 

White Tigers

In class for writing we were learning about persuasive writing i did my information report on white tigers. I found it challenging to get a lot of information and it was easy to get the information about what it looks like because i have seen one in real life with my own eyes.

White Tigers

A White tigers scientific name is Panthera tigris tigris, and it´s family name is Felidae. Did you know a White tiger is actually a bengal tiger. A White tiger is a mammal. A White tiger is from the cat family just like Lions, Cheetahs and Jaguars.

A White tiger is a beautiful creature. It has blue eyes and white fur. A White tiger has brown or grey stripes and pink on the bottom of their paws. They have powerful legs for sprinting when hunting. Their sharp teeth are sharp enough to kill other animals.

White tigers are mainly found in India and Asia. They can also be found in the wild, like swamps and lush grasslands. Most White tigers are now in captivity so the population doesn't go down. There are severaL hundred White tigers in captivity.

A White tiger can weigh up to 300 Kg´s. It's stripes help it to camouflage. A White tiger can grow up to 10 feet long which is 3 meters. Every White tiger is cross eyed and it's lifespan is 10 to 20 years.

I think that no one should be allowed to harm White tigers so they can be the majestic creatures that they are.

In class for term three we did information report writing so we made information report posters. I found it easy to do the links and found it hard to get some facts.

Weta

In class for writing we have been doing research on Wetapunga. I found it easy to get some information because we watched videos and read book´s on Weta. I found it hard to get some facts. 

Classification

A weta is an insect that lived while the dinosaurs were here, and they are still alive. Weta is a part of the Grasshopper family. It is an insect. Weta's scientific name is Anostostomatidae. A  baby weta is called a nymph.

Description

A weta is just like any other insect. It has 6 legs, it's brown. It's ears are on it's front legs and antennas are twice as long as there body. Unlike other weta the tusked weta have tusks. Male Weta have much bigger heads then female Weta.

Location\Habitat

You can find Weta At the Auckland zoo and islands. They are mainly found in New Zealand. Weta can also be found in caves and grassland. you can also find weta in forests.

Dynamics

A weta can do tons, of things, they can camouflage, breath under water for about 10 minutes and they do massive poo. They are nocturnal and can weigh up to 35 kg's as an adult. They are harmless and in 18 months they are already an adult. A weta Weighs as much as a average 10 year old and it is an insect.

In class for art we made animals for the talent quest. We were learning to collage and blend with pastel. My animal was a dog. I found it hard to do the outline of the eyes. I found it easy to do the dog nose.

In class for math we did Pixel Art Emojis. I found the top part hard and the bottom easy.

In class for R.E. we made a faith poster. I found it hard to get different fonts. I found nothing easy..

Cyclone Bola

In class we are reading the book Cyclone Bola for our task we have to design a book cover. I found it hard  to find a place to put the words Illustrated by Johnny. I found it easy to get the picture of the cyclone because i just needed to search cyclone and lots of pictures of cyclones would show up.

Mahinga kai Crusaders

In class for reading we have been learning to analyse and synthesise. I found it easy to do the first 4 boxes. I didn't find anything hard.

Te reo Translations

In class we did te reo translations using a site called maori dictionary we got the words from the book cuz. I found it easy to get words for it. I found it hard to get a background that looked good.

Matariki Breakfast

Yummy! Everywhere around me there was food,but not just food there was donuts, waffles, doritos, small, medium, large pancakes, cookies, oranges, tiny pizza there was everything. Anything you could think of was there. The donuts melted in your mouth, the pancakes bigger than anyone's face, oranges tiny and sour.

Teeth

In class we have been learning to describe in our writing. I found it easy to do the first half. I found it hard to add more to my writing. Wind softly blew against the trees, rocking an unstable wooden boat. Two men fishing, gripping onto fishing rods that were softly touching the glistening calm flowing water, surrounded by the wonky mountains covering the peaceful land covered in faded colourless fog. Swoosh. Splash. Fish advancing with their shiny scales. Sploosh.

In class our learn create share task is to make a missing person poster. I found it easy to make the picture because i got it from my cuz story summary. I found it hard to make it stand out.

There were some men camping so they went fishing and while they were fishing they saw me floating in my soggy clothes so they brought me into there cabin and that’s how i got here.

In class our learn create share task is to make a gadget that would help trampers my gadget is a cube and when you press the button it turns into a house. I found it easy to make the house. I found it hard to make the cube

What Does Transubstantiation Mean?

In class our Task for R.E. is to find out what transubstantiation means and then put it in our own words. Transubstantiation means, the transformation of the eucharist essentials into the body and blood of christ at blessing Only, the viewings of bread and wine still surviving.

Flexi Physics

In class for science we did flexi physics each time we did it one of them would have to write in the answers on the slide of what ever one. The first one i did was dropper poppers then Boinks then stretch and throw then how high will it bounce. I found it easy to to the science.

Lockdown Recount

In class our task for writing is to write about what we did in lockdown. I found it hard to think of different things that I did in lockdown because we were in, lockdown. I found it easy to do the writing because I had lived it.

It was an unquestionably sunny morning at my house and outside the dining room window balancing on our harakeke plant balanced, a coal black tui sipping out the nectar. for some reason it doesn´t feel the same there are no cars or trucks passing by. It felt, stange for my family and i.

¨Nearly there, nearly there and done. Finally It's finished, Wait a minute, I still have to do the inside. Ahhh¨ I groan, I really want to complete my fort by the end of the day and i can stay in it so I will actually be in lockdown like the rest of the world¨I'll just get a fluffy white cushion but the fort is looking good. Is it still february?¨ I checked on the calendar. ¨it's still February! I thought it was like March. It’s been soo long that i really fell like it is march. But it's the 17th of february. Adrianna¨ I exclaim, ¨do you want to help decorate the inside of the fort.¨ 

¨Of course, she retaliates, how about we use my tiny white fairy lights she tells me.¨
¨definitely,¨ I acknowledged. ¨How about we put them around the top, and there will be light everywhere in the fort.¨

¨Yessssss.¨ I declare¨I get to go back to school.¨ since now it’s level 3! Then my mum says that ¨since it is level 3 there isn't going to be that many kids there, theres only going to be 17 kids in the whole school.¨ ¨Dang it.¨ I said in a low voice, ¨but still, It's school. And plus we get wheels at morning tea and lunch around the carpark and there's only 7 kids in my bubble and we get mufti until real school in level 2.

Finally the moment I've been waiting for, school.¨ I whispered. The first thing I wanted to do is go on my black epic accelerator 8 bike. But then something even better happened i got to make a marble run because it was one of our tasks. When i found out that we had to make it go for 30 seconds i thought it was impossible but we made ours 25 seconds and thats real acceptable and real long. In class our reading task is to make a NZ music month poster. I found it easy to get the idea because a part of music is instruments so I used instruments. I found it hard to get the picture of notes that is in the middle.

In class our first task is to do math and it depends on what the number is to see if it beige, dark brown, light brown or blue. At the start I new it was either an Ewok or Qui gon. and it was a Ewok. I found it easy to do the last bits because I realised there were chunks of each colour instead so i did that instead of doing one by one. I found the first half hard.

The Sandwich

In class our second task is to choose witch scenario 1, 2, 3. and I chose, who ate hulks sandwich. I found it easy to write it because I had Millins of ideas. I didn't find anything hard. Who! Ate! My! Sandwich! Shouted Hulk hey you can you tell me who ate my sandwich. Ok. Ha? Crums, it must have been eaten over here, Spiderwebs, playstation on, Tony's sunglasses, box of pizza and scotts wallet. Hmmm It must have been thor, peter, scott, or tony. Hulk can you tell Thor, Peter, Scott, and Tony to get down here. Sure. Thor tell me where you were when Hulks sandwich got eaten. Well I was just playing fortnite on the playstation and eating pizza then i heard hulk start screaming so I ran because i didn't want him to accidentally hit me. Is what you said true. Yes. Ok Tony where were you when hulks sandwich was eaten. I was in my office working on my suit. Is this true? Yes. Ok then. Peter where were you when hulks sandwich was eaten. I was swinging around the city looking around for good views. What were you doing before that, I was practicing my aim with my webs. Is this true? Yes. Ok then. scott where were you when hulks sandwich was eaten. I was trying to fix the quantanium portal and that's when I heard hulk scream. Ok. Tony where were your glasses, i don't know couldnt find them since this morning. Ok. Scott, do you know where your wallet is? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Then I know who the culprit is and he thought he could outsmart me. Who is it, said peter? It is thor. I've always known blondies are cheeky. You see he did say the truth he just didn't say all of it he stole Tony's glasses, he used scotts wallet to buy pizza and he probably got hungry so he ate the sandwich, isn't that right Thor. Yes. And it was quite oviesse he ran from hulk because he didn't want hulk to smash him because thor new he was going rage because he ate his sandwich

Yucky Bugs

In class our third task is to get facts of why yucky slugs are actually good. I found it easy to get the facts because we watched a video and in the video Ruud Kleinpaste said tons of facts and we had to get 3 to 5 facts on why yucky bugs are actually good bugs.

In class our second task is to make a map of a robot and write where it is going to go. Why don't you guess. I found it easy to make the instructions because there where squares so I can count how many blocks. I found it hard to get good images.

In class our first task is to write on how you can show holiness. I found it easy to get fonts because I used cool text to do it. I found it hard to think of how I can show holiness.

My favourite book

Our second task for thursday is to make a poster on our favourite book. I found it easy to get a photo of one of the books of los futbolisimos. I found it hard to get a perfect font for the words.

Circuit Construction

In class one of our tasks is to read the same text we did on wednesday then go onto circuit construction kit and make a circuit and after that we do a screencastify of it. I found it easy to make the circuit. I didn't find anything hard. I enjoyed making the circuit and I found out that if the circuit goes to fast it goes on fire.

Peace Crane

In class we were learning about peace and how to make origami peace cranes.I found it easy to make the crane because we had a video to follow and i'm really good at origami. I didn't find anything hard. I enjoyed making the origami crane.

Raspberry pi

In class we were learning about raspberry pi. Our task is to read a text about raspberry pi and then do a form with questions about it. I found it easy to do the form because I already new about pi and coding. I didn't find anything hard. I enjoyed doing the reading because I like reading long books and it was 9 pages long.

Fort Challenge

In class our first task was to get a inspiracion then make a fort like it then on a slide make instructions on how to make it then on the last slide put photos on it finished and what your favourite part about your hut is. I found it easy to make the fort because my sister and I had made lots of forts around or house. I didn't find anything hard.

Anzac reef

In class our first task is to make a reef with whatever material you have. I made mine out of paper. I found it easy to make the reef because my friend showed me how to make them last year. I didn't find anything hard. Next time I would add flowers on to it.

Maths Buddies

In class our fourth task for thursday is to do a screencastify of us using math buddies. I found it easy to get the answers because I used a piece of paper. I found it hard to get the screencastify to start because it wouldn't show.

Anzac 5w´s

In class our second task is to make a Anzac 5ws poster. I found it easy to get the facts for when, where and why Because I already new the answers to them. I didn't find anything hard. Next time I would add a bit more colour to the slide.

Obstacle Course

In class our first task is to make a obstacle course and then do it. I found it hard to get it in a good spot so I got my sister to video it. I found it easy to make the obstacle course because I just needed 6 soccer balls. Next time I would make the obstacle course longer.

Anzac Puzzle

Paper Airoplane

In class one of our extra tasks was to Write a letter for a country in lockdown then turn it into a paper plane, my paper plane flu 4 meters. I found it easy to make the paper plane. I found it challenging to take a photo of the paper plane in the air. 

What I am grateful for

One of our extra tasks for wednesday is to draw a picture or make something that we are grateful for. I found it easy to choose what colours I used to fill in the word art because I just did my family's favourite colours. I didn't find anything hard. Next time I would colour it in.

Our third task for wednesday is to listen and watch the story the Anzac tree. The Anzac tree was planted to remember those who went to war.

Taskmaster

In class our third task for tuesday is to stack items alphabetically my items were an arena, book, cushion, dollars, encyclopedia, frigsby, guitar, hair, lego, magnet, painting, quartz, rosary beads, sunglasses, timer, vacuum, water, yellow piece of lego and a zipper. I found it hard to think of things alphabetically. I found it easy to stack the items. Next time I would try think of more things.

Critical Thinking

In class our second task is to read 2 texts then use this chart to show what was the same about the texts. I found it hard to find out what the same was. I found it easy to get the facts because the book and the audio had facts.

Trench life

In class our third task for monday was to build what trench life would look like, we got to choose if we used lego or minecraft I don't have minecraft so I used lego. I found it easy to get the characters I needed to make it because I have a whole box of minifigures and I also found helmets that I could use. I found it hard to get tanks so I got vehicles that I had already made, and then put cannons on them. next time I would put more walls.

Stain Glass

In class Whilst we are in lockdown our third task is to make a stained glass window using google drawings. I found it easy to make the shapes for the stained glass. I found it hard to make the st francis symbol because it doesn't let you do small lines.

Isolation easter weekend

Isolation easter weekend

I woke up then I asked what day it was and Adrianna told me it was Sunday then I realised it was EASTER! So I got dressed into denim jeans and a long sleeved shirt and a jersey and made my bed and then had breakfast. Straight after I quickly sprinted to go find chocolate eggs with my sister, we found 9 eggs, 2 marshmallow eggs and 7 golden eggs. There was an uneven amount so I looked harder until we found one more egg for my sister. Oh my gosh it was in the entrance to our house the whole time.

After we rapidly split the eggs that were still in a bag there was 2 golden eggs, 1 Malteser egg and 1 M&M egg for our neighbour since she didn't really like sweet things, then my sister and I got 2 more marshmallow eggs and 4 mini Malteser eggs and 4 mini M&M eggs and our parents got the same amount as us. Then for breakfast we had Watermelon, Kiwifruit and Pineapple and after we had pancakes that my sister made, they were so delicious. Later on my sister told me that my dad was going to do a trade with me so I sped to the kitchen. Then I grabbed my eggs and we did the trade, the trade was a ripoff for my dad, and on top of it he made the trade! It was one completely tiny M&M egg for a golden egg. Then when I zoomed to the garage I saw humongous golden eggs. I thought there was one for Adrianna and one for me but no, they were both for my grandfather.

Easter Acrostic Poem

In class whilst we are in lockdown our first task is to do an acrostic poem and the words we use have to connect to easter. I found it hard to think of words starting with e, a, s, t, e and r that link in with easter. I found it easy to get colours to use, since I just used the colours of the rainbow.

Where's Toki

Toki where are you, usually he barks so you can hear wear he is I don't want to leave him alone, he's only a puppy Toki would have gone back to the marae anyway. Oooooooohhhhhhh it sounds like its coming from in that cave covered with ferns But it also sounds like its coming from over there as well. He barked and he barked again it sounds like he's coming to us how about lets say a karakia to tane-mahuta to help Toki get out of the cave. Toki we shout. Come here boy, come. Toki came out running and then pounced on leilani and starts licking her.

In class whilst we were in lockdown our third task for Thursday was to camouflage yourself then show where you camouflaged. I enjoyed camouflaging. I found it hard to find where to camouflage. Next time I will try to make it so you cant see me in second one because it was quite obvious were I was.

Night Vision Goggles

In class we found out facts about night vision goggles then we made a google drawing of them. I found it easy to make the night vision goggles. I found it hard to make the body. I enjoyed getting the facts

St Patrick's day

In class for reading we did true or false test about St Patrick Then we made a google drawing with facts about him on it. I found it hard to get 5 to 8 facts about St Patrick. I found it easy to get the pictures because i just had to search it up and it would come up. Next time i'm going to try adding more facts.

Writing Learning Pathways

In class we were setting our goals for writing I found it tricky to find out how to what i could do easily. I found easy to see what my goals are in writing because we had a sheet of each box that we had to fill in, with the hardest and easiest goals.

Stop Motion

in class we were doing stop motion films Corin and i did it about dancing potatoes that turned into superheroes that try to beat Kylo Ren. I Found it easy to do the potato bit. I enjoyed the massive bouncy ball bit.

Seaweek

in class for sea week we found out facts about our favourite animals and put it on this slide. I found it hard to get a picture of a orka. I found it easy to get the facts because there were so many facts about orcas.

Waste free Wednesday

At school each wednesday if we have no plastic in our lunches we get a blessing bead. I found it hard to get a lunch box so I used my own lunchbox. I found it easy to get a title font that I like.

All About me

Hi my name is Johnny. My school is Saint Mary's Gisborne. I have a sister Adrianna who goes to campion college and my mum and dad, Amanda and Ander.

My favourite sport is soccer and I play for saint Marys strikers and if i could be in any soccer team i wanted it would be Athletic Club. My goal in soccer this year is to get in the under 11 Reps.

I'm really looking forward to camp at Rotorua since I'm a year six. I have never done anything that were going to do at camp so i'm really looking forwards to it.

2020 Term 1 Goals

I found it easy to find out what my family can help me with since i had already written what i had to do. I found it hard to make a goal for disposition goal. I enjoyed doing the background because it was fun.

40 days of lent

In class we are making posters of what we are going to stop doing or what we are going to start doing. I found it easy to get the pieces for the chair and the desk because I barely had to use any pieces. I found it hard to get the perfect stance because my feet wouldn't show.

True or False

In class for writing we wrote about our summer holiday but we did true or false. I found it easy to get the background because I either searched it up or made it from gradient. I found it hard to write my recount onto my blog because i'm not that fast at type and we weren't aloud to talk.

Kawa of Care

In class we have been doing our kawa of care posters. I enjoyed the hole thing because its fun getting the pictures and making the words. I found it hard to get the perfect colour for the writing because colour on the chromebook is grey and I wanted a bright colour. Next time I would change the background because it's quite hard to see the bottle.
