Weta
In class for writing we have been doing research on Wetapunga. I found it easy to get some information because we watched videos and read book´s on Weta. I found it hard to get some facts.
Classification
A weta is an insect that lived while the dinosaurs were here, and they are still alive. Weta is a part of the Grasshopper family. It is an insect. Weta's scientific name is Anostostomatidae. A baby weta is called a nymph.
Description
A weta is just like any other insect. It has 6 legs, it's brown. It's ears are on it's front legs and antennas are twice as long as there body. Unlike other weta the tusked weta have tusks. Male Weta have much bigger heads then female Weta.
Location\Habitat
You can find Weta At the Auckland zoo and islands. They are mainly found in New Zealand. Weta can also be found in caves and grassland. you can also find weta in forests.
Dynamics
A weta can do tons, of things, they can camouflage, breath under water for about 10 minutes and they do massive poo. They are nocturnal and can weigh up to 35 kg's as an adult. They are harmless and in 18 months they are already an adult. A weta Weighs as much as a average 10 year old and it is an insect.

Collage Art
In class for art we made animals for the talent quest. We were learning to collage and blend with pastel. My animal was a dog. I found it hard to do the outline of the eyes. I found it easy to do the dog nose.
